Finally I can start posting my New Orleans sketches. I will be forever enchanted with this place and will keep going back to it all my life! New Orleans is something which can’t be described with words, it has to be experienced! My first New Orleans sketch is of this wonderful band I was lucky to catch at Spotted Cat. Just a day before the Jazz and Heritage Fest.

“GRAND OPENING”, UNION GALLERY, N.O.L.A. USA, ‘23.
At my final few days in New Orleans I was walking on Royal Street where many art galleries are. Was just curious to see once again the exhibitions they have and make some more connections if possible. I got into Union Gallery after I already went into several other galleries. Union gallery owners were so friendly and kind! I didn’t approach them firstly, but they approached me. I was nicely surprised and this gave a start to a beautiful connection and relationship! I got invited from them to sketch their grand opening as they are a new art gallery. So I did it. It was so much fun! Love the fact that I made some more special friends in New Orleans!

At Maple Leaf I met again the Holiday Soul guys who invited me on the next day to sketch their gig at Kermit’s Mother-In-Law Lounge. This was a big honor for me. Amazing night. So intimate and special. I finally started sensing the local vibe. Made new friends. Definitely gonna visit Nola again and again.

This next one is again from Apple Barrel with Holiday Soul. Such a cool band. Such a cool venue! New Orleans is always a good idea to visit. I got the chance to sense the authentic spirit of this place after Jazz Fest, when the crowds left and mainly locals remained.
